It's picnic time again in Burbank—so what are your "hot button" issues in this off-year election for California? All comers can vote with "hot button" stickers on our issues tote board for their top 3 state concerns for action. In fact, our picnic is not about rasing funds but raising community profile, do a good turn by a local charity, and offer locals a chance to meet local Democratic pols and candidates—and hear about the proposition issues, too. So, no admission: but we do "pass the hat" for donations. Once again, it's a family event with games and a playground, so bring the kids! The DPSFV Executive Board meets monthly at 7:00 pm at the State Building Auditorium, 6150 Van Nuys Blvd. All Democrats are invited to come to our meetings however only board members can vote. 2010 meeting dates: Jan 4, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 5, May 3, Jun 7, Jun 28, Aug 2, Aug 30, Oct 4, Nov 1, Dec 6.
